1. Terms of use

Who runs Crave

Crave (crave.bytassh.com) is made and run by STUDIO MERLIN, s.p., a sole trader registered in Slovenia. Full details are in the imprint below. By using Crave you agree to these terms.

What Crave is

You type a food or drink you are craving. Crave matches your words to a built-in list and shows you ideas that tend to scratch the same itch, plus one tip for enjoying the real thing. Everything happens in your browser. Nobody reads what you type and no artificial intelligence is involved.

Free to use

Crave is free. There is nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for.

Posters and links

You can save your line-up as a picture and share it, or copy a link to it. Anyone who opens a shared link will see the craving it contains, so only share what you are happy for others to read. You may use saved posters for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as posting them on social media.

Our content

The design, text, illustrations and code of Crave belong to STUDIO MERLIN, s.p. Please do not copy them or use them commercially without asking us first.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep Crave running and the ideas sensible, but we provide it as it is. We may change, pause or retire it at any time. We are not responsible for what you choose to eat or drink, or for any results of following an idea. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, and you keep all rights you have as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the consumer laws of your own country.

2. Health note

Crave is for fun and everyday inspiration. It is not medical, dietary or nutrition advice, and it does not replace a doctor, dietitian or other health professional.

• Allergies and intolerances. Ideas can contain nuts, peanuts, gluten, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy, sesame and other allergens. Always check ingredients before you eat anything.
• Health conditions. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have diabetes or another condition, follow a special diet, or take medication, check with your doctor before changing what you eat or drink.
• Caffeine. Some ideas contain caffeine, including coffee, tea, matcha and chocolate.
• Alcohol. Alcohol is only for people of legal drinking age in their country. Ideas that mention alcohol-free drinks may still contain traces of alcohol, so check the label.
• Nicotine. The ideas for nicotine cravings are small distractions, not a way to quit. For real help with quitting, talk to your doctor or a local quit line.
• Eating and you. If cravings feel out of control, or food is causing you worry or distress, please talk to a doctor or someone you trust. You deserve real support.

3. Privacy

Who is responsible

STUDIO MERLIN, s.p. is the controller of any personal data handled by Crave. Contact details are in the imprint.

What you type

Your craving is read and matched inside your own browser. It is never sent to us or stored by us. It appears in the address bar after the # sign so that you can share a link. Browsers do not send that part of an address to our server.

Posters

Saved posters are drawn on your own device. We never receive a copy.

No cookies, no tracking

Crave sets no cookies and saves nothing on your device. There are no analytics, no advertising, no social media buttons and no tracking pixels. Fonts and all other files are served from our own server, so no other company is contacted when you open the page.

Server and logs

To show you the page, your browser connects to our server, which runs on a computer we rent from our hosting provider in the European Union. This connection uses your IP address, as every website does. We have switched off visitor logs for Crave, so we do not keep a list of who visits. If something breaks, the server may write a short technical error note, which can include an IP address. These notes are overwritten automatically and are only used to fix problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Links to other sites

The small Tassh logo links to bytassh.com, which is also run by us. If you follow a link to another site, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to or ask us to limit how we use it. Because Crave stores nothing about you, there is usually nothing to find, but you are always welcome to ask. You can also complain to the Slovenian data protection authority, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si, or to the authority in your own country.

Changes

If we change how Crave handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
